About
Software architect who has spent almost two decades building the systems underneath consumer products (data platforms, distributed backends, cloud infrastructure), and the last few years pointing that same discipline at agentic AI.
Most recently that's meant building a multi-agent autonomous trading platform with hard boundaries between strategy, validation, execution, and governance, and a React Native app that syncs to clinical simulation hardware in real time. Before that, fourteen years at Warner Bros. Discovery, architecting platforms that carried Bleacher Report, NBA Digital, and TNT Sports across eight device platforms at once.
I'm most useful on problems where the constraints are real: scale, reliability, or a system that has to outlive the person who built it.
Selected work
Set the architectural vision for a platform serving millions of users and requests per second. Led the Android app, built the shared OAuth service used across every client, shipped two GraphQL subgraphs for scores and user management, and rebuilt the Postgres layer for reliability.
Architected one system spanning eight platforms (iOS, Android, Apple TV, Fire TV, Xbox, Samsung TV, LG TV, and desktop), and mentored the engineers who kept it that way, shaping decisions built to hold up years later.
Drove platform-wide Next.js SSR adoption, cutting page load time by 35% and lifting organic search traffic by 43%. Built the multi-view League Pass player that runs four concurrent streams for 2M+ subscribers, with analytics wired in from the start rather than bolted on later.
Led the cross-platform React Native build that brought March Madness Live to Xbox, Fire TV, and Android TV, reaching 4M+ additional viewers. Two pieces of it outlived the tournament: a reactive state library on Apollo Client picked up by six teams, and a cross-device TV remote layer that ended duplicate input handling for seven more.
An autonomous multi-agent trading system with hard separation between strategy, validation, execution, and governance. Independent agents share no state, so behavior stays deterministic, and a dedicated risk agent can block an unsafe trade before it ever reaches execution.
A React Native app for clinical documentation and simulation debrief, integrating directly with Gaumard manikin hardware. Built a synced replay system mapping every timestamped student action back to the simulation, plus a Drupal hub where staff review performance.
